Door styles for Las Vegas homes.

Las Vegas architecture covers more ground than people expect — desert-contemporary in Summerlin, Spanish Mediterranean in Henderson, luxury oversized pivots in MacDonald Highlands, and production stucco across the south valley. The right iron door should look native to the home, not imported from a catalog photo that fits a different market.

Homes to plan around.

The Las Vegas valley has at least five distinct home styles that each point to a different iron door direction. Start by placing your home in the right category — the door recommendation follows from the architecture, not the other way around.

Spanish Mediterranean & Tuscan

Dominant in Henderson, older Summerlin, and Southern Highlands. Warm bronze double doors with traditional ironwork, arched tops and sidelites, and decorative glass that echoes existing terracotta or clay tile rooflines. The iron should feel earned by the home, not bolted on.

Desert Contemporary

The defining look in Summerlin, The Ridges, and newer west-side communities. Clean low-profile iron frames, full-lite or near-full-lite glass, matte black or dark graphite finishes, and minimal ornament. These doors live or die on proportions — the glass-to-iron ratio matters more than the ironwork detail.

Luxury Custom

MacDonald Highlands, The Summit Club, and large custom builds across the valley. Oversized custom pivots, floor-to-ceiling glass entries, and grand double-door systems with custom hardware scaled to taller openings. When the home is custom, the door should be too.

Production stucco, transitional, and ranch entries.

Beyond the marquee neighborhoods, the majority of Las Vegas valley homes are production or semi-custom builds with standard openings. A few more style notes for the broader market:

  • Production stucco — Southern Highlands & EnterpriseNewer stucco and frame construction on the south end with standard-width openings. Modern iron doors in stock sizes transform a builder entry. Matte black, dark bronze, and oil-rubbed bronze are the most common finishes in this style band.
  • Ranch & transitional — North Las VegasTraditional ranch-style homes and transitional semi-custom builds. Classic iron entries — single traditional doors, moderate ornament, warm finishes — sized to original openings without requiring a custom frame.
  • Pool and patio transitionsAcross all Las Vegas home styles, accordion and sliding patio systems that open a great room or kitchen to a pool area are a consistent upgrade. The iron-and-glass language from the front entry can carry through to the rear, coordinating the whole home.
