Arizona's UV index is the highest in the country and a painted door will chalk and fade inside two summers. Our powder-coat finishes are baked on and rated for desert conditions, so the door you install in 2026 still looks right in 2034.

Desert powder coat

Every black and bronze finish is baked-on powder coat rated for extreme UV and heat. Painted doors crack and fade by year three; powder coat doesn't.

Glass options for heat

Low-E, sandblast, and reflective glass packages block heat gain without killing the natural light. We'll match the glass to your sun exposure and home orientation.

Common questions for Arizona buyers.

Do iron doors hold up in Arizona's heat and UV?
With the right finish, yes. Our powder-coat finishes are baked on and UV-stabilized, so they don't fade or chalk the way oil-based paint does. Black powder coat in particular shows no visible degradation on Phoenix installs from several years back. For south and west-facing entries, we also recommend Low-E or reflective glass to cut heat gain through the panel itself.
What glass makes sense for my Arizona entry?
For most Valley homes, sandblast or Low-E glass is the right call on west and south exposures. Sandblast diffuses direct light, reducing glare and heat gain. Low-E adds a coating that blocks infrared while staying visually clear. Reflective glass is the strongest heat blocker. For east-facing or shaded entries, clear or rain glass work well and look more open.
How long does delivery take in the Phoenix area?
In-stock Tempe doors are available for same-day pickup or local delivery. Doors coming from our other regional warehouses land in 5–10 business days. Custom orders run 6–10 weeks from drawing approval.
Can I see the accordion patio system in person?
The 3-panel accordion unit is on the floor at Tempe. You can fold it, stack it, check the threshold height, and see how the panels clear when open. Call 480-788-7755 to confirm it's still on the floor before making the trip.
Do you serve Tucson and northern Arizona?
We ship to both. Tucson deliveries run 1–2 days from Tempe. Flagstaff and northern Arizona we service via crated freight. Call for a freight estimate. We don't have local installers in those markets yet but every order ships with full install documentation, and we'll help you source a contractor.
